Largest facade solar collector surface in Czech Republic provides environmentally friendly energy for 200 people

The TiSUN large collectors are not only ideally integrated into the building facade of the nursing home in the Czech Republic in Ostrava-Marianske, they also build special architectural highlights and provide energy for hot water for the inhabitants. During the renovation of the nursing home the owner decided to install 176 square metres of solar collector area on the building façade. The facade is currently the largest collector surface area in the Czech Republic.
"The residents of the nursing home in Ostrava-Marianske use a lot of energy, since the majority of their daily activities take place in the building," explains a representative from TiSUN partner Apex Euro s.r.o., which was responsible for the implementation of the project. A 10,000 litre tank regulates the energy. The planning of the scheme took one year - the collectors were mounted on the facade within three weeks.
Due to the special architectural design of the building, the integration of the 8 m² collectors had to be done on both sides of the balconies. "The TiSUN large collectors cover the high water demand of the 200residents and can easily be integrated in the facade in almost any special size," says Ji?í Bartu of Apex Euro s.r.o.
TiSUN produces different models of wall panels, which can be perfectly integrated in any building architecture. The unique feature of the TiSUN collectors: They are available in standard sizes up to 18 m2 serially produced in a single unit and certified with the Solar Keymark certificate. Collector facades have gained in popularity in recent years. The reasons are mainly the ideal visual integration into the architecture of each building. In addition, the facade collectors save construction costs as they can be mounted instead of the insulation.
